San Jose American Heart Association ACLS Certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Class
The American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of pulseless and pre-arrest cardiopulmonary emergencies. This American Heart Association AHA ACLS eLearning class is taught in two parts.
1. Reading and testing on your computer: 6 -9 hours (start and stop as needed). You go to the AHA website before your skills testing, pay the American Heart Association $110 and take the ACLS Part 1. Print out your certificate and bring to San Jose for skills testing. See the calendar for skills testing in San Jose dates and times. We also recommend taking the Rhythm Adult course but it is not mandatory. http://www.onlineaha.org
2. ACLS skills testing: 1 hour, $150. You will receive your card on the same day as the class. Be sure to study thoroughly for this class. You must be proficient in ACLS skills to pass this ACLS course. Be sure to study rhythms and medication.
Audience: Doctors, nurses, or anyone in the medical field. Length: 7-10 hours (6-9 hours online, 1 hour skills) Cost Part 1: $110 for the AHA ACLS eLearning class Cost Part 2: $150 to STS for ACLS skills testing Payment: You can pay $150 on the day of your ACLS course. Method: Cash or check made out to STS. NO CREDIT CARDS. Certification: Official AHA ACLS certification card valid 2 years Prerequisite: This ACLS course is for renewal or first time. American Heart Association ACLS Certification Course You will receive the ACLS certification card on the same day of class. Other Santa Clara County ACLS schools send the cards by mail which can take a few weeks for you to receive.
We don’t cancel our classes (even if only one participant shows up). Other Santa Clara County ACLS schools cancel the class with just one day’s notice if there are not enough students.
You only pay if you attend: you can pay on the day of the course. Other Santa Clara County ACLS schools demand prepayment and offer no refunds if you cancel or have to reschedule.
You will receive American Heart Association (AHA) certification card. There are Santa Clara County ACLS schools that teach non-certified ACLS classes which are not accepted.
Our San Jose ACLS Classroom We will have coffee, tea, soda, water, and granola bars. The American Heart Association ACLS instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, & supportive and I am sure you will have a nice time.
English as a Second Language The ACLS eLearning classes are video driven so even if English is your second language, you will do fine. Our ACLS instructors will help you during the practice sessions and the training classes are very stress-free. We have instructors who speak Danish, Swedish, Spanish, and French.
Infants & Children Infants and children are not allowed in the classroom. Only people who are attending the class are allowed in the ACLS classroom.
Important: You must bring in your ACLS eLearning certificate for your skills testing portion.
After you register for this ACLS certification class We will email you a confirmation letter a few days before the class with all the details (check your spam folder). Please arrive to class 10 minutes before start time.
If you need to cancel your ACLS course No worries. Remember you only pay for the ACLS class if you attend, but please email us back if you cannot attend so we can give your place to someone else.
